Absolute champion of the lightweight division Devin Haney (30-0-0, 15 KOs) said that Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) had to go to the doctors after the fight with him. Allegedly, the Ukrainian was hospitalized because of strong blows to the torso, which he missed from Devin.
The American boxer reposted a small segment of video from the fight that read, "Haney's body work was key in his absolute title defense against Lomachenko."
"Do your homework. Loma went to the hospital after the fight. But they don't want you to know that," the American wrote on social network X, formerly known as Twitter.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, on May 21, Lomachenko held his 20th fight in the professional ring. The lightweight fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena against Devin Haynie went all 12 rounds and ended with a unanimous decision of the judges 116-112, 115-113, 115-113 in favor of the American.
Note that the judges' notes, which were published after the fight, caused a heated debate among experts and fans.
Lomachenko's team announced that they are filing a protest on the result of the fight. In addition, the statistics of punches of the fight confirms that the Ukrainian won at least five rounds.
