Legendary Russian champion renounces Putin
Legendary athlete Yelena Isinbayeva has once again distanced herself from the Russian terrorist state. After calling her service in the Russian Armed Forces nominal, the Olympic champion deleted her photos with Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.
Journalists of the publication "Bloknot-Volgograd" drew attention to this. The photo was posted by Isinbayeva on her Instagram page on November 17, 2017. "I'm on the Putin Team," the former pole vaulter wrote at the time. The sports legend's post is currently unavailable.
The photo was taken at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. Yelena Isinbayeva was then acting as mayor of the Olympic Village, and Putin came to see how the athletes lived. The track and field athlete in fur-trimmed boots, for example, was showing the Kremlin leader the "village" library.
It should be noted that earlier Isinbayeva fled to Spain. Russia demanded that the former athlete return all the money she was paid as an officer of the Russian army.
Recently, the team of politician Alexei Navalny published a photo of the former track and field athlete in Spain against the backdrop of the Ukrainian flag and an investigation into the Olympic champion's real estate in Europe. In Russia, Isinbayeva has been subjected to a real persecution. She is being demanded to "work it out".
As OBOZREVATEL reported, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov became a laughingstock online after he called for not criticizing Yelena Isinbayeva. And in Makhachkala, a former track and field athlete was "severely" punished for treason.
