Konoplyanka scores a goal for Medza

Ukraine midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka scored his fourth goal of the current club season. Our compatriot helped Cracovia avoid defeat in a home match against Medza, which is in last place in the Polish Ekstraklasa.

Konoplyanka remained on the bench and appeared on the pitch immediately after the break with the score 0-1 in favour of the opponents. In the 68th minute, Cracovia managed to take the ball away from the visitors and launched a quick counterattack that ended with a goal for Medza.

The Ukrainian footballer, having received a pass from his partner, made an incredible raid from his own half of the field. After stretching the ball over 60 metres, Yevhen passed to his partner and immediately received a return pass. The Medza goalkeeper managed to save Konoplyanka's first shot from 8 metres out, but our compatriot was the fastest to finish.

This goal was the last of the match and brought the hosts one point. Cracovia remained in seventh place in the league standings, 10 points behind the European Cup zone with four rounds to go.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ukrainian footballer Kyrylo Petrov scored a well-aimed shot from the centre of the pitch in the game for Polish side Korona Kielce.
