"I'm sure I'll beat him". Usyk was challenged by "too big" heavyweight

The famous boxer made an unexpected confession

The cousin of WBC champion Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury (26-3, 15 KOs), has announced that he will defeat WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs). The 28-year-old British heavyweight made the announcement in an interview with local media.

Boxing fans were disappointed that the fight for the absolute title between Usyk and Fury did not take place this spring. However, another member of the Fury family believes he has what it takes to knock out the undefeated Ukrainian

"I will stop him. I'm too big, too strong, I have too much work rate for him. I'm sure I would beat Usyk," boxingsocial quoted Hughie as saying.

Prior to that, none of the 20 boxers who shared a professional ring with Oleksandr had managed to break his undefeated record. And Anthony Joshua realised twice how difficult this task is.

Although Hughie grew up in Tyson's shadow, he is a talented boxer in his own right, having won the British heavyweight title back in 2015.

However, his career is riddled with injuries and suffers from inactivity. He has boxed only once in the last three years.

Although he is still young for a heavyweight, he has already shared the ring with fighters such as Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin and Kubrat Pulev, but lost in all three cases.

As for Usyk, his next opponent is expected to be WBA mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois.

Despite Dubois' physical advantages, most expect Usyk to retain his only crown and finally deliver a blockbuster with the Gypsy King.
