Ukrainian defender of Korona Kyrylo Petrov scored an incredible goal in the 30th round of the Polish Premier League. The 32-year-old Dynamo Kyiv product opened the scoring in the away game against Stal Melec, which was the Ukrainian's debut goal in the current league in 22 matches.

In the 9th minute, the home team lost the ball in the centre of the pitch. The round ball bounced to the former Ukrainian youth national team player, who did not hesitate to send it into the opponent's net. Stal goalkeeper Bartosz Mrozek saw the moment of the shot, but did not have time to get back into the frame.

This goal ended up being the only one for Korona, while Stal Melec scored twice more. At the end of the match, the visitors' goalkeeper Marcel Zapitowski received the lowest rating among all the players (5.9). Petrov's performance was rated at 7.1 points.

Kyrylo Petrov began his career at Dynamo Kyiv, but failed to make the first team of the White and Blues. In Ukraine, Petrov played for Kryvbas, Hoverla, Arsenal and Olimpik, and the midfielder also briefly played for Polish side Korona and Kazakh side Ordabasy.

From 2020 to 22, he defended the colours of Kolos Kovalivka, and after the start of the full-scale invasion, he went back to the Polish side Korona.

As a member of the Ukrainian U-19 team, Kirill became the 2009 European champion. During the final part of the championship, which took place in Donetsk and Mariupol, he captained the Ukrainian national team, appearing in all five of the team's matches.

On June 24, 2009, in the decisive group stage match against England, he scored 2 goals, thus bringing his team a final draw (2:2). Subsequently, Ukraine reached the final and beat the same English 2-0, winning the gold medal.
