"First leave Ukraine and then hand Putin over": world sports legend put Russian Olympic champion in his place

The legendary Czech hockey goalkeeper Dominik Hasek has categorically reacted to the complaints of the President of the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) Vladislav Tretiak about the "deprivation" of the Russian national team of gold medals at the 2024 World Youth Championship, where it did not even participate. The Olympic champion noted that representatives of the aggressor country have no right to compete in international tournaments while supporting the criminal war against Ukraine.

Hasek wrote about this on his page on X, formerly known as Twitter. The two-time Stanley Cup winner reminded Tretiak that he serves dictator Vladimir Putin and that is an accomplice to Russia's war crimes against Ukraine.

"To all Russian hockey players and officials. Either you support your country's imperialist war and all its related crimes, or you are against it. You cannot compete with us until you leave Ukraine, pay reparations and hand Putin over for trial in The Hague. It's about life," Hasek said.

It is worth noting that the Czech has been a consistent supporter of Ukraine. After a trip to Kyiv and Kharkiv last summer, he recorded a video message to Ukrainians, wishing them to "drive the Russian sh*t away." He also put Russian Vyacheslav Fetisov in his place, who demanded that Hasek return all the money he earned at Spartak to Russia.
