Recall that this will be the third European Games in the history, for the third time there will be 3x3 basketball and for the third time the Ukrainian women's team will play in the competition. Our men have only qualified for European Games 2019.

At the first European Games in Baku, Ukrainian women's basketball team won the silver medal. Then Victoria Paziuk, Kristina Matsko (Filevich), Olga Maznichenko and Anna Zaritskaya (Ruleva) returned home with awards. Four years later both of our teams performed at the European Games, but neither of them could overcome the group stage.
