The legendary Czech goaltender Dominik Hasek is furious over the plans of the National Hockey League (NHL) and Columbus Crew to hold a "Russian Heritage Night". The Nagano 98 Olympic champion criticized the organization of this event, calling it support for the war against Ukraine.

Hasek wrote about this on his page on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. The two-time Stanley Cup winner noted that the NHL openly turns a blind eye to Russian crimes in Ukraine, not only allowing hockey players from Russia to play in the league, but also quietly coming up with new projects in honor of the aggressors.

"The NHL is definitely going crazy. In addition to its longstanding support of the Russian war and Russian crimes in Ukraine, it has come up with a new Russian project. I hope that during this December's game, the millions of Ukrainians who died in the 1930s due to the famine that the Kremlin deliberately supported will be shown in the stadium and on television. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians killed and maimed in the Russian imperialist war from February 2022 to the present," Hasek said.

He recently spoke angrily about American entrepreneur Elon Musk after he ridiculed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and our entire country.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Dominik Hasek has been a vocal supporter of Ukraine. After a trip to Kyiv and Kharkiv last summer, he recorded a video message to Ukrainians, wishing them to "drive away the Russian sh*t." In addition, Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov threw a real tantrum over the Czech's remarks.

Earlier, Dominic said that Russians have no right to play in international tournaments "until they leave Ukraine and put Putin on trial". He also demanded that Russia pay reparations to our country.
