Sebastian Coe, president of the International Athletics Federation, has promised to prevent Russian athletes from participating in tournaments under the organization's auspices, even under a neutral flag. The two-time Olympic champion made the announcement at a meeting with Ukrainian Olga Saladukha, which sent the Russians into hysterics.

One of the main contenders for the post of president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has demonstrated support for Ukraine, the Telegram channel of the Verkhovna Rada's Youth and Sports Committee writes.

"This decision is particularly relevant, as a number of international sports organizations and the IOC itself have already adopted similar sanctions due to Russia's attempts to create illegitimate sports structures in the temporarily occupied territories and incorporate them into national federations," Saladukha commented.

Readers of the Sports.ru portal attacked Coe with insults. They accused him of discrimination, forgetting that their country has waged a criminal war against Ukraine, which is supported by many athletes from the Russian Federation.
