WADA has once again banned Russia and put an end to its independence

Bańka criticized Russia

The head of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), Witold Bańka, considers it almost impossible that control over the use of prohibited substances by Russian athletes would become independent of the state. He added that the aggressor country must meet all the requirements in order to be reinstated.

This was stated by Bunka at the General Assembly of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF), informs the propaganda agency TASS. The functionary noted that Russia's non-compliance with the WADA code has been extended again indefinitely.

"The Russian anti-doping agency will be stripped of its compliance status until it meets all the conditions for reinstatement set by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). And as long as we do not verify them, we will continue to follow the agreed process. But I must say that our faith in the independence of the anti-doping system remains very low," said Bańka.

Recall that after the 2014 Games in Sochi, the state system of doping in Russia, which was controlled by the FSB, was uncovered. At the end of the Olympic Games, Russia was stripped of 11 medals. Russia's punishment has lasted since 2015, and at the last two Olympics, athletes performed without the flag and anthem.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Olympic champion Irina Rodnina unexpectedly made a harsh criticism of the doping system in Russia and called for tougher punishment for athletes who take banned substances.
