Petal cabbage is already a popular vegetable snack in Ukraine. It can be eaten almost immediately after cooking and then stored for a long time. The cabbage does not lose its crispy texture and becomes very juicy.

Ingredients:

  • cabbage (1 small or half a head of large)
  • beets - 1 pc.
  • carrot - 1 pc.
  • garlic - 6-7 cloves

Ingredients for the marinade:

  • water - 1 liter.
  • salt - 2 tbsp
  • a glass of sugar
  • oil - 0.5 cups
  • vinegar - 0.5 cups
  • bay leaves
  • peppercorns

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the cabbage into squares.

2. Grate the carrots and beets on a Korean grater.

3. Chop the garlic.

4. Put all the vegetables in layers in one container.

5. Mix all ingredients for the marinade except vinegar.

6. Put it on the fire.

7. Pour vinegar into the boiling marinade.

8. Pour in the cabbage.

9. Set the press and leave at room temperature for 4 hours.

10. After that, remove the press and send it to the refrigerator overnight - you can eat after 12 hours.
