Exposure to sunlight can cause burns, allergies, and even cancer. Moreover, from the point of view of physiology, biology and dermatology, the sun provides almost 97% of premature signs of aging and changes in the skin and hair in general.

OBOZ.UA decided to remind you how to sunbathe properly so as not to get new problems. Therefore, here are 5 basic tips to avoid getting "fried" this summer:

1. Monitor the time spent under the sun. It is strictly forbidden to sunbathe from 10:00 to 15:00, but if you cannot avoid it, stay in the shade and do not forget to use SPF.

2. Assess your skin phototype. People with type 1 and 2 should not sunbathe.

3. Protect children, especially young ones, from direct sunlight.

4. People who take certain types of medications on a regular basis should not sunbathe. They have a phototoxic effect and a person simply loses your skin in minutes, and it will be covered with blisters.

5. Give up solariums. If you have visited a tanning bed at least once in your life, you have a statistically significant 17% increased risk of getting the most malignant cancer in your life - melanoma.

How to treat sunburns properly:

- do not apply any oily foundations;

- do not treat the burn with any alcohols or alcoholic herbal infusions - it will only deepen the burn;

- if it is a mild burn, buy post-sun products at the pharmacy;

- if the burn is serious (third degree), you should consult a doctor.
