Russian passenger plane spotted over Ukraine: how could it have happened
On November 29, a Russian passenger plane was spotted flying over the territory of Ukraine, almost to the Dnipro. The Boeing 738 plane, owned by the Russian airline Aeroflot, took off from Istanbul and was supposed to be heading to Moscow.
However, its route on the flight map was through Ukraine. This is evidenced by information on the Flightradar24 portal.
According to the portal, the plane approached Dnipro, after which it suddenly changed direction and headed back, flying over the territory of Ukraine.
Officials have not yet commented on the incident. There are several assumptions about this incident. One option is a technical failure on the Flightradar24 portal, as the Ukrainian sky is under the control of air defense, which destroys any aircraft that violates the country's airspace.
As a reminder, an AN-2 aircraft came under fire in Bashkortostan, Russia, and locals mistook it for a Ukrainian drone. The incident occurred during a scheduled flight in Salavatovo.
