Frank Warren, the promoter of Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs), commenting on his client's fight with Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs), believes that Tyson did everything right, but everything changed after the Ukrainian's accurate punch in the 7th round. After that, Usyk found the strength to turn the tide of the fight.

"By the middle of the fight, Fury was dominating, in my opinion, but Usyk got a second wind, and when he hit Tyson on the nose, it changed the dynamics of the fight. Tyson seemed to lose concentration for a while, then Usyk had a great ninth round. As I saw it, it was a two-part fight. At the same time, the president of the World Boxing Council (WBC) Mauricio Suleiman called the 11th round decisive in the Usyk-Fury fight. According to the official, it was the penultimate three minutes, which two judges gave in favor of the Ukrainian, that determined the winner of the fight.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on May 18 in Riyadh, Usyk defeated WBC champion Tyson Fury and became the owner of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and WBC heavyweight belts.

On May 19, it became known that Usyk would only remain the absolute champion until June 1, 2024, as his mandatory IBF title defense against Filip Hrgovic was overdue.

After that, Frank Warren expressed confidence that depriving Oleksandr Usyk of the title of absolute world champion would benefit boxing. Fury's representative noted that this would allow for many good fights to take place, and then to reassemble the four belts into one.
