There are several ways to celebrate the arrival of spring: update your wardrobe or change your hairstyle. If the spring sun has made you think about a new look, pay attention to the trendy pixie whisper haircut.

The new trend was inspired by the legendary actress Audrey Hepburn and her signature hairstyle, Glamour writes. Recently, model Taylor Hill showed a photo with a fashionable pixie.

According to celebrity hairstylist Danielle Priano, who came up with the name "pixie whisper" and created the haircut for the celebrity, the name reflects "the idea of combining something delicate and ethereal with something playful and charming." "Taylor and I have been working together for over a decade, and we recalled a lot of Audrey Hepburn's looks because Taylor looks like her," says the master.

In terms of how this particular pixie came to be, Priano says Hill's hair had recently been cut for a shoot, but then she thought she wanted to grow it out. However, another technician ruined the model's strands. When it came time for a haircut, Hill shared that she "wanted something that echoed the pixie, something modern but timeless, with a nod to classic elegance," says Priano.

If you want to have a similar style, the expert says it's important to consult with your stylist: "Mentioning key elements such as 'short and layered with a soft texture at the edges' can give a clear idea." Priano and renowned hairstylist Dave Stanwell agree that it's best to bring photos of your hair to the salon.

Are you afraid that Pixie Whispering is not for you? Stanwell assures: "It's a great haircut because you can adjust it to your liking. Especially if you have a hairdresser you trust to take into account things like your face shape and hair density.

When it comes to hair care, Priano says that "usually a pixie involves regular trims every four to six weeks to keep the shape and texture looking sharp. The exact frequency can vary depending on how fast your hair grows and how structured you want the cut to stay for a long time."
