Expert names the best car brand

When choosing a car, buyers are usually looking for the perfect value for money. Some brands have proven themselves to be the best and have been at the top of the rankings of reliable and comfortable cars for years.

Driver trust is worth a lot, but it's even more important to hear the opinion of experts on this issue. Famous car mechanic Scotty Kilmer explained why he likes cars and trucks from a particular company. The details were reported by the Express.

Scotty Kilmer gave the reason why he is a fan of Toyota cars. The popular YouTuber has been working as a mechanic for more than 55 years and regularly publishes videos with valuable tips. He explains how to avoid damage, which cars to choose on the secondary market, and publishes rankings of quality and inexpensive cars.

However, in a recent video, Scotty explained why he likes Toyota's range. According to him, the brand's reliability means that drivers can save money in the long run.

"As a mechanic I’ve worked on tons of different cars over the last five decades, and I can personally attest to Toyota’s quality myself. The reliability of a Toyota is largely to do with it’s low number of mechanical issues. But here’s something that not many people know. Buying a Toyota will actually save you a lot of money, compared to other brands," said Scotty.

The expert noted that Toyotas sold in the United States typically travel from 323,000 to 402,000 km, and some models go over 800,000 km.

Scotty also mentioned a case from his practice: one motorist drove more than 1.5 million miles (approximately 2,414,000 km) on his 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, which was used to deliver medicines in North Carolina and Virginia. Such impressive results can be achieved with regular maintenance.

Scotty also noted that many vehicles produced by Toyota can easily use the same engine and transmission for up to one million miles.

In addition, Toyota is usually inexpensive to maintain, so you don't have to spend too much money on repairs. At the same time, only a small percentage of cars of this brand break down.

"One study found that Toyotas typically average about $441 in maintenance and repair costs each year. Put it in perspective, the industry averages $652 bucks. That’s more than a $200 difference," Scotty calculated.
