Stuffed cabbage rolls in a new way: how to cook a traditional dish in an unusual way

With the onset of the cold season, people start to want to try something more nutritious than in summer. Stuffed cabbage is the perfect fall dish. They are tasty, juicy, and easy to prepare.

But food blogger Olha Riabenko decided to go even further. On her Instagram, she posted a recipe for cooking cabbage rolls in a new way. This dish will impress and will not leave anyone indifferent.

Ingredients for cabbage rolls

  • Cabbage – 600 gr
  • Onion – 1 pc
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pepper
  • Carrots – 1 pc
  • Ground coriander – ½ tsp.

Ingredients for the batter

  • Eggs – 2 pcs
  • Sour cream – 1.5 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika – ½ tsp
  • Flour – 20 g

Method of preparation

1. Separate the cabbage leaves and immerse in boiling water for 1 minute. Cut off the hard parts.

2. Fry the onions and carrots until golden brown.

3. Mix the vegetables with the minced meat, then add salt and pepper.

4. Put the minced meat on the cabbage, and wrap it up.

5. Mix the ingredients for the batter.

6. Fry the cabbage rolls over medium heat until golden brown.

7. Serve with sour cream.
