White clothes are the centerpiece of any wardrobe, but we don't buy white clothes as often as we would like because they are quite difficult to care for. The slightest stain, the slightest dirt is very noticeable on such things, so you have to wash them often and treat them with special products.

Did you know that a life hack that our grandmothers used to use can make caring for white clothes much easier? OBOZ.UA tells you in detail about this retro-style trick that has gained a lot of popularity on social media.

Start by putting very hot water in a bowl and adding a glass of baking soda. Stir the product and immediately soak the white clothes you plan to wash in the resulting solution. Leave them in for a while to allow the baking soda to work well. Even 30-60 minutes will be enough, and it is even better to soak overnight. During this time, the baking soda will destroy the chemical structure of all typical pollutants and the clothes will be easy to wash in the usual way.

Still think your clothes aren't white enough? Use a non-aggressive fabric bleach that won't cost you a penny - sunlight. Ultraviolet light causes all colors to fade over time. So just lay out or hang the clothes you want to bleach on the clothesline. After 2-3 hours, the effect will be noticeable. What's more, you will also safely disinfect the fabric.

And finally, if there are still some stains on the white garment, you can treat them with fresh lemon juice. The acid it contains is a natural bleach. Apply a few drops to the stained area and leave the item in the sun. When the juice dries, the stain will disappear.
