Another star joins the cast of Christopher Nolan's new movie

Charlize Theron has officially joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's new project, which is scheduled for release in July 2026. After the resounding success of Oppenheimer, the director is once again collaborating with Universal, which will distribute the film.

The project has already attracted attention due to the participation of many first-tier Hollywood stars. In addition to Theron, the cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o and Anne Hathaway.

The Hollywood Reporter's sources say that Damon, Holland, Gateway and Pattinson will play the main roles, while Zendaya and Niongo will play secondary characters. At the same time, Universal Pictures refused to comment on casting details.

The script for the film was written by Nolan himself, who also serves as a producer with his wife Emma Thomas through their company Syncopy. As in the case of his previous works, the plot remains a top secret, which only fuels interest in the project.

This film will be Nolan's second collaboration with Universal after Oppenheimer, which earned more than $976 million at the global box office and won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The collaboration with Universal began after Nolan's breakup with Warner Bros. in 2020, which became one of the most high-profile events in the industry.

Charlize Theron, who recently starred in Fast and Furious and The Old Guard, once again confirms her status as a sought-after actress. Her participation in Nolan's project will add even more weight and interest to the film.

Interestingly, Nolan's previous project, Oppenheimer, was initially put up for auction, but the new film was acquired by Universal without any competition. This shows the strong creative ties between the director and the studio.

Some analysts believe that the new project may surpass Oppenheimer in both box office and award prestige. Especially given the large-scale cast and the trust that Universal has placed in Nolan.
