Large traffic jams have formed on the border with Moldova in the Odesa region. The queue at the Palanka-Mayaky-Udobne checkpoint stretches almost to the Mayaky Bridge.

"If you are going to Chisinau today, you should postpone your trip to tomorrow," advised one of the drivers who sent a video of the traffic jam to one of Odesa's Telegram publics. As early as 6:20 am, traffic was virtually paralyzed by the queues.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that queues have appeared on the border with Moldova. Just four days ago, a similar situation occurred. This is due to both traffic restrictions at other checkpoints and the number of people crossing the border. Traffic can increase depending on the day of the week.

On June 21, in the area between Obzhyly (Ukraine) and Plotia (Moldova), five vehicles – four minibuses and one escort car – were found with 47 people trying to illegally cross the border, as well as seven organizers of the channel.

Earlier, as OBOZ.UA reported, border guards told where fugitives from Ukraine most often try to escape. They most often go to Poland using forged documents. As for illegal border crossings outside checkpoints, Ukrainians with military service most often choose Romania and Moldova.
