What the Burning Man festival looked like from space: an impressive photo

The Burning Man festival, which is held annually in the Black Rock Desert, USA, was filmed from space. The image shows the settlement of campers, vehicles, tents and installations that come together for the week of the event.

The sheer scale and majesty of the desert festival is something that cannot be captured in any single photograph, but one incredible shot taken from space gives a completely unique view of the famous spectacle. The Burning Man festival is an annual eight-day event of independent art. It starts on the last Monday of August. And it ends on Labor Day, an official holiday celebrated in the United States on the first Monday of September, a day off for most organizations. The culmination takes place on Saturday after sunset, when a huge wooden statue of a man is burned. Every year a new theme of the event is set.
