Turkey lasagna: a dish for the whole family that everyone can make
Lasagna is an Italian dish made of layers of dough and filling, topped with sauce and baked in the oven. It is a great lunch dish and is easy to prepare, so it has long been a traditional dish for Ukrainians. Each family prepares lasagna to their own taste, adding their favorite spices.
For example, chef Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi recently demonstrated how his family cooks lasagna on his Instagram. He cooked it with his mother, which made the process even more cozy.
Ingredients for the dough for (32x32cm baking dish)
- flour - 200 g
- yolk - 1 pc
- eggs - 2 pcs
Ingredients for turkey bolognese
- turkey thigh - 500 g
- onion - 130 g
- carrot - 100 g
- peeled apple - 100 g
- celery stalk - 50 g
- garlic - 15 g
- tomatoes in their own juice - 400-500 g
- dry wine - 60 ml
- oil
- salt
- pepper
- oregano
- sage
- sweet pepper - 75 g
Ingredients for bechamel sauce
- fatty milk - 600 ml
- flour - 45 g
- butter - 70 g
- salt - 6 grams
- nutmeg - 1 g
Additional ingredients
- butter
- mozzarella - 250-300 g
- parmesan cheese - 60-70 g
The way of preparation
1. First, prepare the dough. Mix the eggs with a fork and pour them into the flour. Knead the dough. Let it stand under the film for half an hour.
2. Roll out thinly, cut into finger-sized pieces smaller than the mold, and boil in salted water for 1 minute.
3. Lubricate with vegetable oil. You should get at least 3 layers.
4. Prepare the filling. Pass all the ingredients through a meat grinder but do not mix them. Fry the carrots, onions, celery, garlic, and apple in a frying pan one by one. Add tomatoes, wine, salt, spices and herbs. Simmer for 45 minutes.
5. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, add the bechamel, a layer of dough, half of the stew, and a third of the mozzarella.
6. Repeat the last step again. Top with the last layer of dough, sauce, remaining mozzarella, and grated Parmesan. Drizzle with oil for a beautiful crust.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
