The "perfect" autumn apple crumble: baked in less than an hour

Apple crumble is a classic winter dessert loved by millions and served with custard, ice cream or cream. Most often, apples are used as a filling. It is their flavor that gives the dish an autumnal mood.

Any fruit and even nuts can be used as a filling. However, apples have always been considered a classic. How to make the perfect autumn apple crumble was described in BBC Good Food.

Ingredients for the crumble

  • Flour – 300 gr
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Brown sugar – 175 gr
  • Soft butter – 200 g

Ingredients for the filling

  • Apples, cut into 1x1 cm pieces without peel – 450 g
  • Brown sugar – 50 g
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon – a pinch

Method of preparation.

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

2. Mix flour, salt and sugar in a deep bowl.

3. Add the butter to the mixture and rub it in with your hands until crumbs form.

4. Mix the apples with sugar, cinnamon and flour. Mix gently.

5. Grease a 24 cm baking dish with butter.

6. Put the fruit mixture on the bottom of the mold and sprinkle with crumbs on top.

7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the filling boils and the crumbs turn golden brown.

8. Serve with cream, ice cream or custard.
