There is a place on the plane that is off-limits to travelers – the crew rest area. Flight attendants sleep there during long flights away from demanding passengers. The flight attendants took pictures of their "sleep pods" where they can retire.
Such compartments are not available on every airliner, but only on large wide-body aircraft, Sfgate writes. These rooms are hidden behind closed doors and are not accessible to the public.
Usually, these small chambers, which look more like butterfly cocoons, are located either above or below the passenger cabin, depending on the type of aircraft. To get to this place, flight attendants climb special stairs. Many people may feel claustrophobic in such a confined space, although some find this area quite cozy.

Here you will find several bunk beds. Soundproof curtains on each bunk help block out light and noise. Most pods have reading lamps, air vents and entertainment systems to help crew members spend their time comfortably during break hours.
