Interim WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) commented on the fight for the title of absolute champion between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). The New Zealand boxer noted the 9th round, which became a turning point in the fight.

Parker, who has a friendly relationship with Fury, admitted that it was hard for him to watch the Gypsy King being beaten like that.

"When you're very close to someone and that person has done a lot for you, it's always hard. Especially in the ninth round, when everything became clear. Both fighters had their moments in the fight, but Usyk hit Tyson with good punches in the ninth three minutes, and it was hard to watch. I felt that everything was decided in this fight and it made the evening much more epic," iFL TV quoted Parker as saying.

Joseph is confident that in the rematch Fury will not make the same mistakes he made in the first meeting.

"Tyson is a very capable boxer and will find a way to improve in training camp in the right way. I'm sure he will make the necessary adjustments to his preparation. He's had a great training camp, but he'll make it even better and come into the fight at the end of the year ready to win," said the interim WBO champion.

Parker corresponded with Tyson several times after the fight with the Ukrainian.

"Now he's spending time with his family, resting. When you're in training camp, doing your best in fights, you're away from home for a long time, and he's making up for it with his family," the New Zealander summarized.
