Cottage cheese pancakes or syrnyky are a great breakfast dish that is adored by both adults and children. It is important that this dish not only tastes good but also looks so.
Food blogger Yulia Senych knows exactly how to make syrnyky so that they do not fall apart in the pan. On Instagram, she shared a precise step-by-step recipe to make truly perfect syrnyky.
Ingredients
- 9% cottage cheese - 500 g
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- semolina - 2 tbsp
- vanilla sugar - 10 g
- egg - 1 pc
- flour for rolling
Method of preparation
1. Put cottage cheese on cheesecloth, wrap it up and squeeze out the excess moisture.
2. Rub the cheese through a sieve.
3. Add the egg, sugar, a pinch of salt and semolina.
4. Mix thoroughly and leave for 10-15 minutes to allow the semolina to swell.
5. Form the sausage and roll it in flour.
6. Using a glass or knife, shape the pancakes.
7. Cook them in a multicooker at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Or grease a pan with a little oil and fry them on both sides in a sufficient amount of oil - 3-4 tablespoons - until golden brown.
8. Sprinkle the finished syrnyky with powdered sugar and serve with sour cream.
