The Russian was sentenced to five years in a maximum security colony

A mobilized Russian from Buryatia faked his own death to avoid returning to the war against Ukraine and to be with his wife, who threatened to commit suicide. He bought a fake death certificate, but the deception was discovered and a Russian military court sentenced him to five years in a maximum security prison for desertion.

The case was reported by Russian media. According to the Telegram channel Baza, it is about a mobilized man named Zorigto Arabzhayev.

In September 2022, his eldest son died in an accident, and in November the man was mobilized into the army of the aggressor country. His wife "constantly worried and talked about suicide," the channel writes.

On March 2, Arabzhayev was granted a ten-day vacation, went home and never returned. At the end of April, the military police started looking for him.

When the security forces came to Arabzhayev's home, his younger son opened the door. He showed his father's death certificate, according to which Zorigto Arabzhayev died on March 7, 2023.

The security forces took a picture of the document and left.

After examining the "certificate," it turned out to be a fake. Arabzhayev bought it from an unknown person to stay close to his wife and not worry about her life. On May 4, the security forces visited the family again and found Zorigto at home.

On November 2, the garrison military court in Ulan-Ude sentenced the mobilized man to five years in a maximum security prison for desertion.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the occupiers continue to complain about the difficult conditions of the "special operation". Messages about the problems of "mobiles" appear in chats of their relatives and comments under the posts of the governors.
