Ingredients

  • Pearl barley – 300 gr
  • Meat – 900 gr
  • Onions – 2 pcs
  • Carrots – 3 pcs
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Dry garlic
  • Oil
  • Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
  • Boiling water – 900 ml

Method of preparation

1. Wash the groats and cover with water for 30 minutes.

2. Cut the meat into small pieces and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.

3. Add diced onions and carrots. Continue frying.

4. Add salt, pepper, sweet paprika, dry garlic, tomato paste and fry for 10 minutes.

5. Add the cereal and pour boiling water over it.

6. Stir and simmer over low heat for 1 hour under the lid.
