Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhii Rebrov will continue to work with the national team despite the Blue and Yellows' unsuccessful performance at the 2024 European Championship in Germany. The work of the 50-year-old specialist was positively assessed and now he faces new challenges, including getting to the 2026 World Cup.
This was stated by the president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Andrii Shevchenko following a meeting of the organization's executive committee, according to its official website. The legendary striker noted that at Euro 2024, the national team scored the most points in the history of performances at continental championships.

Serhii Rebrov commented on the match
"At the championship itself, the national team did not live up to expectations and did not advance from the group. The main reason was a disastrous first match in which we lost to Romania. Unfortunately, we failed to improve the situation in the following matches, although Serhii Rebrov's team managed to score four points, the highest result for the entire period of the Ukrainian national team's performances in the final tournaments of the Euro. But it should be remembered that Serhii Rebrov took over the national team after the start of the qualifying round. In general, the UAF Executive Committee supported the direction of development of the national team and expressed full confidence and support for the coaching staff of Serhii Rebrov," Shevchenko said.
