Cheap cars for 2 billion: how many foreign cars Ukrainians bought
Import of cheap second hand cars from other countries in Ukraine is reviving. Such cars are again very popular - the demand has increased. And in general, the number of cars imported from abroad has increased.
Traditionally, our motorists prefer inexpensive cars. Models with mileage are much more affordable. As reported by the organization Ukravtoprom, since the beginning of 2024 in Ukraine imported cars for 2.29 billion dollars.
Demand for such cars increased by 40% relative to 2023. These are mainly used cars, which are the most popular on the market. The list of countries from which cars are imported most often is presented.
Volkswagen cars from Germany are very popular.

- Germany - 33,074 pcs;
- USA - 27,469 pcs;
- Japan - 18 099 pcs;
- China - 17 715 pcs;
- Korea - 8703 pcs;
- France - 8284 pcs;
- Slovakia - 7,814 pcs;
- Mexico - 7767 pcs;
- Great Britain - 6978 pcs;
- Czech Republic - 6825 pcs.
The statistics includes both new and used cars. For example, the leader of the list is Germany - a popular country from which used cars arrive in Ukraine. At the same time, sales of new German cars have increased in the market.
From the U.S. and Mexico bring mostly used cars, and from China - electric cars of different brands.
