A powerful wave washed away tourists on the beach in Brazil: the moment was caught on video
An unexpected incident took place on one of the beaches of the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. A huge wave rose on the Atlantic coast and washed away vacationers.
This was reported by local media outlet UOL News on its YouTube channel. The video shows people sitting in sun loungers being washed away by water.
The video also shows a little girl and her mother looking at the ocean, but not having time to escape from a large wave, which subsequently knocks them down. The beach area, which is located on the border with the water, is flooded, and tourists are carried away by the current (to see it, scroll to the bottom of the page).
It is noted that nothing foresaw the incident: the weather was sunny and clear. According to UOL News, none of the people on the beach were injured.
