A number of trains have been canceled in Ukraine: why they will not run

For technical reasons, Ukrzaliznytsia has suspended a number of trains. They will not run from December 15 to January 13. However, the carrier has appointed other trains that will run on alternative routes instead.

This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia itself. They noted that the following trains were canceled:

• No. 8/7 Odesa - Kharkiv;
• No. 148/147 Odesa - Kyiv;
• No. 774/773 Kyiv - Shostka.

"In the period from December 15 to January 13, we will adjust the schedule of some trains for technical reasons. We understand that these changes may cause inconvenience, so we have already taken care of alternative routes that will allow you to comfortably reach your destination," the statement said.

What alternative routes have been developed by Ukrzaliznytsia?

To this end, it is noted that trains No. 105/106 and No. 763/764 have been assigned to travel between Kyiv and Odesa. And also:

• No. 059/060 Kharkiv - Odesa;
• No. 786/785 and No. 788/787 Kyiv - Shostka.

In addition, solutions for intermediate stations were introduced. In particular:

• For residents of Kremenchuk.

For traveling through Kyiv. First, by train 129/130 Kremenchuk - Uzhhorod to Kyiv. And then transfer to train #105/106 Kyiv - Odesa.

In the opposite direction: by Intercity train #764 Odesa - Kyiv. And then by regional train №792 Kyiv - Kremenchuk.

• For residents of Cherkasy.

For trips to Odesa. By train #43/44 Cherkasy - Ivano-Frankivsk to Kyiv. Then by train #105 Kyiv - Odesa.

Return trip is by the same route.

• For residents of Poltava.

For trips to Odesa. First, you need to get to Kyiv by Intercity+ train #723 Kharkiv - Kyiv. Or by bus:

• #15 Kharkiv - Yasinia;
• No. 17 Kharkiv - Uzhhorod;
• No. 711 Kramatorsk - Kyiv;
• 129 Poltava - Uzhhorod.

Further - from Kyiv to Odesa by train #105 Kyiv - Odesa.

Back: train #106 Odesa - Kyiv. Then transfer to the Intercity+ train #724 Kyiv - Kharkiv.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, at the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia launched a new train between Kyiv and Kamianets-Podilskyi, a popular tourist destination. It will make its first trip on December 15.
