The Borac football club, a two-time champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2011, 2021), was fined by the International Football Federation (FIFA) for the behaviour of its fans. The fans staged a pro-Russian performance at the BiH Cup round of 16 match.
In the game against Rudar, the spectators hung a banner in the stands with the colours of the Russian Federation and the inscription "Glory to Russia". The fans also put up a poster that read "F*ck NATO". Borac will be forced to pay a fine of 5,000 convertible marks (~2,500 euros) for all this, Klix.ba reports.
Borac will have to pay another 2,500 convertible marks (~1,300 euros) for singing in the stands in honour of Serbian war criminal Ratko Mladic and chanting "Kosovo - Serbia".
In case of a repeated violation, Borac will play without visitors.
