On the main square, you will be greeted by the amazing Roland Fountain, in the center of which stands a sculpture of Hungarian King Maximilian II of the Habsburg dynasty. Stroll through the streets with old houses, take charming photos, and have a coffee in a colorful coffee shop.

The main square of the town has an unusual shape and is paved with a narrow elongated stone that forms an interesting pattern. It is here that the Cathedral of St. Egidius is located - a majestic Gothic church built in the thirteenth century. Nearby you will see the town hall and the city Latin school, the first mention of which dates back to 1435.

In ancient times, the building was the center of the ancient Slavic states: Nitran principality and Great Moravia. On the territory of the castle there are: a cathedral, a bishop's palace, massive fortifications with protruding bastions, and the oldest building - the Romanesque Church of St. Emery, which has a unique Gothic fresco - the Death and Coronation of the Virgin Mary.
