"The enemy will try to disrupt our offensive": the DIU predicts what targets in Ukraine the occupiers may hit with missiles
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine believes that there may no longer be massive missile attacks on Ukraine, which took place in autumn and winter. The occupants have failed to bring the energy infrastructure of our country to a critical state. Now the enemy will try to disrupt the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces and will probably attack military facilities.
This was stated by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine spokesman Andriy Yusov in an interview with Gazeta.ua. According to him, the occupiers will attack supply routes and everything related to preparations for the liberation of the cities temporarily occupied by the Russians.
At the same time, Yusov stressed that the threat to civilians will not disappear. This is primarily due to the fact that the enemy army is running out of precision weapons. About 15% of the amount that was available at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022 remains.
In addition, the occupiers in most cases have inaccurate intelligence. Therefore, according to a representative of the Ukrainian intelligence service, civilian infrastructure will suffer the most in the future.
According to Yusov, we should not hope that the Russian army will run out of missiles. The occupiers still have thousands of S-300 missiles, and they are also setting up production of Kalibr, which is about dozens a month.
"But such volumes cannot compensate even for what they have already spent. Since the beginning of the missile terror, both the intervals between strikes and the number of missiles used are completely different from what we have seen," the DIU spokesman said.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces, Nataliya Gumenyuk, said that Russia is now relying on aviation, especially in the south, when shelling Ukrainian settlements. However, the enemy may still resort to using missiles to carry out targeted strikes.
According to her, the use of naval missile launchers depends on the weather and is minimal during storms.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that the Ukrainian army could launch a counter-offensive in April-May 2023. According to him, the counterattack is planned in several directions.
