Russia attacked Kyiv from the air for the third time since the beginning of May

On the night of May 4, the aggressor country Russia launched its third air attack on the Ukrainian capital since the beginning of the month. The enemy launched kamikaze drones of the Shahed type and probably ballistic missiles toward Kyiv.

Preliminarily, all enemy UAVs and missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces on the approach to the city. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv city military administration Sergei Popko.

"Such a dense intensity of strikes our city has not experienced since the beginning of this year! This night, the aggressor once again launched a comprehensive air strike against the capital (the alert lasted for more than 3.5 hours). The Rash*sts attacked Kyiv using Shahed-type drones and missiles, probably of the ballistic type," he wrote.

The official noted that the type of missiles used would be definitively determined only after an examination of the wreckage. At the same time, he stressed that our air defense forces disarmed all enemy missiles and UAVs in Kyiv's airspace.

The data is still being clarified, but operational information indicates that the attack by the aggressor took place without civilian casualties or damage to residential facilities or infrastructure.

At the same time, the wreckage of the Russian UAV was recorded falling in the residential areas of the Shevchenko district of the capital. There was no fire there. In this, as well as in Pechersk and Podolsk districts, a total of up to ten pieces of debris fell in various streets as a result of enemy airborne objects being shot down. There was partial damage to parked cars (number to be specified) and road surface. There is no information about casualties.

"I will never tire of thanking the air defense forces of Kyiv. Thank you for your service and excellent work! For the saved lives and peace of the civilian population. I persistently remind Kyiv residents and visitors to the capital not to disregard air-raid alarms! Remember - the rules of safety are written by bitter experience. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. With your responsible actions help to bring peace closer to Ukraine after our victory! - summed up the head of Kyiv City Military Administration.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, during the air-raid alarm on the night of May 4, residents of the capital heard explosions around 02:40. It was noted that in Kyiv and the region working air defense, people were urged to observe the information silence.
