A Russian woman sent her son to war, but he never returned home. Instead of her dead son, she received a kitten from the local authorities.

The animal was allegedly born at the front and a member of the Russian army fed it. This was reported by the Russian media.

"The head of Komi, Vladimir Uyba, said that he had handed over a kitten named Simba to the mother of the deceased special operation participant Roman Popov, whom the soldier had sheltered in the war zone," Russian sources say.

The occupiers reported that the kitten was born to a cat named Venus, which was fed by Russian military personnel in the so-called "special military operation" zone.

"Now the kitten is running around the apartment, playing," the Russians added.

The mother of the deceased special operation participant thanked Chairman Komis for his help in delivering the kitten, which "warmed her son's soul."

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the parents of one of the Russian occupiers liquidated in Ukraine bought a new car - a white Lada - with their funeral money. The Russians claim that they bought the car in memory of their son, and took the first trip in it to the cemetery.

And in the Republic of Tyva, a local woman who sent her two sons to the war in Ukraine was once again singled out for special attention. The younger son had already been killed by Ukrainian defenders in Lysychansk, so the woman was awarded a pack of dumplings as compensation.

In the homeland of Russian Defense Minister Shoigu, the family of the deceased Sayan Mongush was provided with firewood by the Department of Forestry and Nature Management of the Republic of Tyva. The report did not specify how many cubic meters of firewood a human life is valued at in Tyva.
