Cheap and effective remedies will help

Stainless steel cutlery is practical and durable. There is only one drawback: over time, they become covered with a film of dirt, salts, and oxides.

Stainless steel cutlery can be easily cleaned at home - simple ingredients will quickly restore its original shine. OBOZREVATEL has collected the most effective life hacks.

Baking soda solution

A baking soda solution will quickly and effectively cope with the most stubborn dirt and deposits. Pour several liters of water into an enamel pot. Then add a pre-prepared solution: 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of salt are needed for 1 liter of hot water. Place it on the fire, boil for 20 minutes, and let it cool. After that, wash the spoons and forks with ordinary dishwashing detergent and wipe them with a sponge.

Important note: this method is not suitable if there are aluminum or enamel parts on the forks or spoons.

Liquid soap, vinegar, and baking soda

A paste of liquid soap and baking soda will help get rid of more stubborn stains and dirt. Mix the ingredients until a homogeneous mixture is formed and apply the product to the kitchen appliances using an old toothbrush.

After wiping, treat spoons and forks with a sponge dipped in vinegar to ensure shine. Finally, wash the dishes in the usual way and dry them.

By the way, a simple life hack will help you clean a stainless steel kettle in just 15 minutes. Simply wiping off stains can leave scratches on the surface, so you should use a more delicate method. Read more in the article.
