Gerasimov appeared in public for the first time since Prigozhin's mutiny

The Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, General Valery Gerasimov, appeared in public for the first time after the armed rebellion of the Wagner PMC. The Ministry of Defense of the terrorist state published a video in which it was informed about the destruction of four S-200 missiles that were launched on Russian territory on July 9.

The footage with the general appeared in the department's official Telegram channel. They also assured that Gerasimov remains commander of the combined group of troops in the "SMO zone," despite the fact that the day before the media reported that he had been removed from the leadership of the war in Ukraine.

The Russians on the network called Gerasimov a "clown" and wondered where the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, General Sergei Surovikin, had gone.

"Gerasimov is a shame and a clown", "Clown! Gerasim still knows how to listen", "Where is Surovikin?" - wrote in the comments.

Recall that after the attempted military coup by the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin on June 23-24, Gerasimov and Surovikin did not appear in the public field. Regarding the latter, rumors of an arrest are spreading. Although the serviceman is mostly known for his brutal reputation, any official sanctions against him would probably cause a rift in Russia, the British intelligence service believes.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, during an armed riot, the head of the "Wagner" PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin intended to capture Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov. He planned to do this in Rostov-on-Don, and it is likely that the commander of the Russian Air Force, General Sergei Surovikin, was informed about Prigozhin's plans.
