What the prosecutor's office is asking for Tandyr

The Kyiv prosecutor's office has filed a petition for the acquittal to the detention center of Makarov district court judge Oleksiy Tandyr, who is suspected of committing the fatal accident while intoxicated. State prosecutors are convinced that the defendant in this case should not have the right to bail in order to be released.

This was stated by the agency's representative Nadezhda Maksimets. The Pechersky Court will decide where the judge will spend the next few months - in jail or under house arrest - at 20:00 on May 27.

"In the petition, we ask to select a measure of restraint for the suspect in the form of detention without the possibility of bail. The hearing is scheduled for 20.00, 15 Volodymyrska Street," she wrote.

This information is confirmed by the speaker of the State Bureau of Investigation Tatiana Sapyan. She pointed out that the judges, to whom this process fell according to the procedure, are already preparing for consideration.

"Now, as far as I know, perhaps, even these minutes a meeting is being prepared or is already taking place in the Pechersk district court, where he will be selected a preventive measure... I assume that by the end of the day a measure of restraint will be chosen" - she pointed out on the air of UA Razom telethon.

Recall that Judge Tandyr, who refused to be tested for alcohol at the scene of the accident, was forcibly taken biological samples. The results of the examination are expected in the near future.

Earlier OBOZREVATEL reported that the members of the Supreme Council of Justice approved the sending of Tandyr in custody on the background of the accident he committed.
