The most delicious Korean carrots: the secret is in the dressing
Korean carrots are a very spicy and juicy appetizer that has many fans. The dish goes well with any cereal, mashed potatoes, and meat. And for the New Year's table, such carrots will be the perfect addition.
The idea of cooking crispy and spicy Korean carrots was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna with the nickname ka_trusik. The secret of the taste lies in the dressing - hot oil from fried onions.
Ingredients:
- carrots - 1 kg
- onion - 100 g
- vegetable oil - 50 ml.
- sugar - 6 tbsp
- salt - 2 tbsp
- garlic - 6 large cloves
- Korean carrot spice mix - 1 tbsp
- allspice on the tip of a knife
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the carrots on a Korean grater.
2. Add sugar.
3. Mix well.
4. Set aside the plate.
5. Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
6. Strain the still hot oil from the onion through a sieve.
7. Add garlic and the rest of the spices.
8. Mix everything well and put it in the refrigerator overnight.
