How to make jam from zucchini: great to store for the winter

From zucchini you can make not only salty appetizers for the winter and fritters, but also sweet jam. To do this, you will need only four ingredients. Such a preparation can be used for cooking pancakes, pies or cakes.

The idea of preparing a flavorful zucchini jam for winter is published on the Instagram page of a foodblogger with the nickname yummy_food_uaa. The dessert has a light citrus note, because lemon and orange are in the composition.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kg of young zucchini
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 2 medium lemons
  • 2 medium oranges

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the zucchini into cubes (up to 1 cm), cover with half the sugar, shake the bowl well and leave for 1-2 hours to let them juice.

2. Cut up the lemons and oranges and beat them with a blender with the peel, but without the seeds.

3. Bring zucchini to a boil, pour in remaining sugar and chopped citrus, simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Let cool completely. And two more times.

5. Before the last boil, whip with an immersion blender.

6. Roll up in sterilized jars. The flavor and aroma is incredible, citrusy. The jam turns out thick, can be used as a filling for pies, cakes or pancakes.
