Thick apricot jam in a new way: add this ingredient
Apricot jam is a very tasty home-pickled food. It can be prepared with and without seeds, with halves and whole fruits. For a bright flavor, you can complement the dessert with nuts like almonds, lemon or orange.
Food blogger Lilia (lileklilek2) on her Instagram page shared a recipe for apricot jam in halves with almonds.
Ingredients:
- apricots
- sugar
- citric acid
- almonds
Method of preparation:
1. Remove pips from apricots.
2. Fill apricot halves with sugar in a ratio of 1:1. Leave for 6-8 hours.
3. Bring the apricots to a boil and let cool completely. Do this two times.
4. The third time you need to take out the apricots and evaporate the syrup over high heat for 15-20 minutes.
5. Next, add the apricots to the syrup again, also add 1\2 tsp. citric acid and peeled almonds. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and cover with lids. Done!
