Miso soup in 5 minutes: a quick recipe for a favorite oriental dish
Traditional Japanese miso soup is not an easy dish. It takes a long time and is quite difficult to prepare. However, there are shorter versions of recipes that can be prepared in just 5 minutes.
One of these recipes was shared by a food blogger with the nickname thefoodhub.by_ilona. She explained what is needed to make it on Instagram.
Ingredients for 1 serving:
- miso paste - 1.5 tsp.
- soy sauce - 2 tbsp.
- green onions - 2 stalks
- maple syrup (or other vegetable syrup) - 1 tsp.
- sesame oil - 1 tsp.
- boiling water - 250 ml.
- dried wakame seaweed - 3-4 g.
- tofu cheese - 6 cubes
- dried onion - 2 cubes
- Chinese noodles - 1 serving
- roasted sesame seeds
- chili flakes
- cilantro
- mix of peppers
- favorite seafood - optional
Method of preparation
1. Add seaweed to boiling water to leacve them to swell a little.
2. Chop green onion and separate the white part from the green.
3. In a separate bowl, mix miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, syrup, pepper mixture and the white part of the onion. Mix well and add 50 ml of boiling water. Mix again and let stand for 1 minute.
4. Add another 200 ml of boiling water, stir and add noodles, seaweed, tofu cheese, green onions, dried onions, cilantro, sesame seeds and chili flakes mixed with oil.
