"We were friends for 27 years". Pavlo Zibrov named the Ukrainian singer-traitor whom he will never shake hands with

Pavlo Zibrov told us who he would never shake hands with under any circumstances

Since the beginning of the full-scale terrorist invasion, People's Artist of Ukraine Pavlo Zibrov has been actively helping the Armed Forces and strongly condemning the position of Ukrainian cultural figures who are building their careers in Russia. The singer, whose youth was spent in the Soviet Union, also has star friends who betrayed their homeland. Among them is Taisiia Povalii, with whom Zibrov was friends for 27 years.

Their relationship has been on the decline since 2014 when Russia started a war against Ukraine. During an interview with Lux FM, the artist said that he would never shake hands with the singer again, even though he had many good memories with her.

"I will not shake hands with Taia Povalii. We were friends for 27 years, we got married in the same year and were friends, who supported each other. But now, no, I will not shake hands," the artist said.

Earlier, Pavlo Zibrov said that he was in close contact with the Povalii family and had a lot in common: they met their partners at the same age and got married at the same age. Although the singer initially did not openly support Russia's war against Ukraine, she actively performed at patriotic concentrations, including Ukrainian songs.

"We met our wives at the same age and got married at the same age. We communicated closely. After 2014, the relationship went downhill. We realized that they were sitting there, working at all the concerts. The rhetoric is not really about Ukraine," Zibrov explained.

With the start of the full-scale invasion, Povalii nevertheless began to actively support the actions of the aggressor country, calling terrorism "liberation from the Nazis." "In what Russia is doing today, I see my salvation and that of Ukraine. I feel that Russia is protecting me now," she said.

In particular, Zibrov also reminded that the Putinist has had an apartment in Moscow for more than 15 years. Even before the start of Russia's armed aggression in 2014, she was actively performing at concerts and receiving large fees for them. Despite her Russian "patriotism," the singer still has a Ukrainian passport, which allows her to travel abroad to sing freely.
