Ukrainians have chosen the jury board for the Eurovision 2024 National Selection

The voting for the jury board for Eurovision 2024 National Selection is over

The voting for the jury board for Eurovision 2024 National Selection is over. Out of nine candidates, Ukrainians chose three who they thought would be best suited for this role.

Voting for the National Selection jury members took place in the Diia app from January 15 to 22. In total, more than 720 thousand Ukrainians took part in it. The three star judges were officially announced on the Eurovision Ukraine Telegram channel.

According to the results of the poll, the winners are:

Andrii Danylko (43.79% - 315.6 thousand votes) - singer and composer, People's Artist of Ukraine.

Jamala (23.62% - 170.2 thousand votes) - singer, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

Serhii Tanchynets (12.42% - 89.5 thousand votes) - frontman of the band Bez Obmezhen, Honored Artist of Ukraine.

Andrii Danylko and Jamala became the absolute leaders even at the beginning of the voting, but the name of the third jury member remained a mystery. The Ukrainian favorites will take the judges' chairs on February 3, the National Selection finals.

As you know, this year it will be held in the format of a TV concert. The contestant who receives the most points based on the results of the jury and audience voting will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden.

Shortly after the results were announced, Jamala thanked the Ukrainians who voted for her in her Instagram stories. She also explained what criteria she would be guided by while sitting in the jury chair. "For me, it is important to perform live so that there is no "expectation/reality". A song, a bright detail, charisma, whatever you call it, but there must be something," the artist explained.
