Ukrainian presenter put Oleh Skrypka, who said that artists are not related to war, in his place

Ukrainian TV presenter Olha Nemtseva opposed musician Oleh Skrypka, who has been involved in scandals several times over controversial statements. During the interview, the artist tried to justify his opinion that "the war is not total" and that those who do not want to fight can be let out of the country for a donation.

The 59-year-old singer called himself an "accordionist" who knows nothing about mobilization. In her turn, Olha said that few of the heroes of the Armed Forces were professional soldiers before Russia's invasion. The conversation took place during the United News TV marathon.

Olha Nemtseva asked whether Oleh Skrypka still believes that men could be released abroad in exchange for a donation, after which the singer visibly tensed up.

He hinted that the presenter was trying to set him up and manipulate him, and the audience was shown the star's direct speech during the interview with the Priama Chervona channel.

"Our war is difficult, but not so total that we need 100% of men. If a man just wants to flee and he's not motivated, what kind of a soldier will he be? We need to make a system so that he doesn't have to pay money to the military enlistment office or border guards but rather make a donation and be free to leave. The policy of prohibition has never worked," Skrypka said.

The Vopli Vidopliasova frontman emphasized that he does not consider himself an expert. However, if someone asked him, he would have exactly the same opinion.

"I'll voice my opinion now, and then someone will use it. Then I will be guilty. We don't want that, do we? What is our goal? To collect likes and humiliate me?" the artist asked.

He called himself an "accordionist" who has no authority or experience to talk about issues such as mobilization. At this point, the host, who had been listening to the guest in silence, lost her patience.

"An accordionist is a citizen, a voter, and accordionists are now at the front. We have no clear division. Yesterday you were a professional coffee brewer, and today you are a professional stormtrooper," Olha Nemtseva put an end to the conversation.

Her colleague Alina Dorotiuk could not pass by this conversation and posted it on her channel, praising the host. "Here is his mother's baby boy, accordionist Oleh Skrypka," she wrote.
