For 20 years, the Karaoke on the Maidan program has been one of the highest-rated projects in Ukraine. Every Sunday, fans of the music show gathered in front of their TV screens to listen to ordinary citizens sing. Potential participants would come to Kyiv's central square, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, to demonstrate their talent to the audience and the famous host, Ihor Kondratiuk.

For many Ukrainian showbiz stars, the project became the starting point for building a successful career. Today's popular Tina Karol, Vitaliy Kozlovsky, and Max Barskykh were among the participants of Karaoke on the Maidan who were not afraid to express themselves confidently. Tina Karol

In 2005, a first-year student at the National Aviation University, Tetiana Liberman, who became extremely popular under the pseudonym Tina Karol, tried to win the hearts of the audience with the song "Sweet Sin". Even at that time, the Ukrainian had incredible vocal skills, but it seems that her time of fame did not come then. The singer failed to win, but she was definitely remembered by the audience.

Max Barskih

Another young man who was once an unknown student of the Kherson Tauride Lyceum of Arts and now represents his homeland on the international stage is Max Barskih. Long before the young Mykola Bortnik became a household name in his country when he participated in "The Star Factory 2," he appeared on "Karaoke on the Maidan" in 2007. A shy guy who was very cautious when communicating with Igor Kondratyuk, he became a completely different person when the music started playing and he got a microphone in his hands. Although young Max Barskih did not manage to win, his shocking performance of the song "Never Let You Go" did not go unnoticed.

Taras Topolya

The lead singer of the famous Ukrainian band Antytila's career also began with his participation in Karaoke on the Maidan. In 2010, Taras Topolya appeared on the project's improvised stage for the second time not as a participant, but as a novice artist. Together with his colleagues, the young man publicly demonstrated his first track "Plan". Even then, the driving composition sank into the souls of Ukrainian music lovers.

Vitaliy Kozlovsky

Vitaliy Kozlovsky, Honored Artist of Ukraine, who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine today, made his name as a singer back in 2002. Performing the track "Pronto", the young man impressed the audience with his unique style. Participation in the Karaoke on the Maidan project can truly be called life-changing for the celebrity. Not only the audience, but also Igor Kondratyuk, who later became his producer, liked him. Although their collaboration ended in a legal dispute, it helped Vitaliy achieve recognition.

Natalia Valevska

In 2010, Natalia Valevska impressed the fans of Karaoke on the Maidan with her amazing performance of the Ukrainian folk song Marusya and her original lyrical track Let Go. At that time, the singer was no longer a newcomer to the Ukrainian showbiz, as she had won the Chance project.
