On the night of November 18-19, El Salvador hosted the grand finale of Miss Universe 2023. 20 finalists competed for the main crown of the contest. In the end, Nicaragua's Sheynnis Palacios managed to get the status of the winner.

OBOZ.UA learned about it while watching the live broadcast. We have collected photos of the winner in the article.

The top three also included contestants from Thailand and Australia. They became the first and second vice misses, respectively.

The crown was presented to Sheynnis Palacios by last year's winner, representing the United States, R'Bonney Gabriel.

This year's winner is not the first time she has triumphed in beauty contests. Sheynnis also took part in Miss World 2021, where she was among the top 40. The woman is currently considered the most beautiful in her home country, and now people have learned about it far beyond Nicaragua.

However, as you know, Miss Universe is not only about the beauty and appearance of the contestant. It is also about talent, her public service, broadcasting important social messages, volunteering, etc. Obviously, the 23-year-old Nicaraguan representative was able to impress the judges with her inner beauty.

As a reminder, Ukraine was represented by Anhelina Usanova. She is a Kyiv-based singer, model and volunteer. As you know, the contest was not without scandals. At the welcome party in El Salvador, Anhelina sat at the same table as a Russian woman. Apparently, the organizers of the contest tried to create the illusion of "friendship" between the participants from the warring countries again.
