Korean actor Song Jae-rim has passed away, leaving a suicide note

South Korean actor Song Jae-rim, star of the drama "Sun in the Moon's Embrace," has died at the age of 39. According to Seoul police, the celebrity was found dead in his home on November 7.

His body was found by a friend who came to the apartment around 12:30 to have lunch with Song, the Daily Mail reports. A "two-page letter" was found at the scene. Police said that "there are no signs of foul play". The cause of Son's death is not yet known.

The actor's family said in a statement to Yonhap news agency that they will hold a small funeral in Seoul for family members on November 14. The Korean drama star made his debut in the movie "Actresses" in 2009, and then became known for his role as the king's loyal bodyguard in the show "Sun in the Moon's Embrace" in 2012. Song also starred in the reality show We Got Married in 2014, as well as in comedy dramas such as Cool Kids, Hot Ramen, Inspiring Generations, Two Weeks, Secret Mother, and Queen Woo.

The 39-year-old actor recently starred in the musical The Rose of Versailles, with his last performance on October 13. Fans have shared their grief over Son's death on social media, with one writing that they couldn't believe he was dead and another adding that they were "saddened and shocked" by the news. "Another horrible incident has occurred and another young artist has died too soon," wrote a third, alluding to a number of South Korean celebrities who have passed away in recent years.
